FIBRE IS KEY NUTRITION FOR GUT HEALTH

Fibre is a nutrient which is quite underrated and underestimated for its values and purposes. Often fibre is associated only with promoting bowel movements and maintaining an overall healthy excretion system. But its something much more beyond that:

1.    Kick starts growth of good bacteria in gut: Fibre acts as a prebiotic, providing food for the good bacteria in the gut, which helps improve gut health and supports a strong immune system.

2.  Regulates bowel movements: fibre can help maintain regular bowel movements and prevent constipation. It adds bulk to stool and helps move waste through the digestive system. Fibre can help reduce the risk of developing digestive issues like haemorrhoids and diverticulitis.

3.     Reduces the risk of chronic diseases: Consuming a fibre-rich diet can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Fibre lowers the cholesterol levels and inflammation in body.

4.     Foods rich in fibre: Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, and seeds are all high in fibre. Combining these foods into your diet can help you increase your fibre intake.

Hence, we can conclude that the maintenance of gut health and general wellbeing depends on fibre. fibre plays a critical role in human health by encouraging the development of healthy bacteria, controlling bowel motions, and lowering the risk of chronic diseases. Thus, its necessary to always have a fibre rich diet plan.
